Dizzy Gillespie

* Do you know John Birks "Dizzy" Gillespie?

- It's the one and only Dizzy Gillespie.

"Dizzy" was an American jazz trumpeter, bandleader, composer and, occasionally, singer. One of his most famous quotes was the... "It's taken me all my life to learn what not to play." This is one of my friends St.D favorite quote as well and that was a chance for another creative stencil typography.

I designed and cut off the quote on a hard paper. The size of the stencil, is about 1,50x70 cm and the surface is silver blinds. First i paint a transparent black for making the shadow and then the orange color. The one that i really love is that the blinds gives a very nice effect if you roll it up n' down! A nice analogue effect...

have fun!

Charles Bukowski

Hello there...

welcome once again!

Here comes the 1st creative post strictly from Boohaha!

Its a stencil cut and free sprayed lettering I did during December of 2010 at a friend's living room. The subject was a picture of Charles Bukowski. No matter what i organized myself, i got there for a fast hit. Its nice creating in friend's places. Chilled with no stress.

Cheers KB

Dedicated to all the book eaters!
